Unveiling Worlds: Hong Kong Book Fair 2023
Are you up for reading? How about sports and snacks at a book fair? Book lovers, writers, and publishers, young and adult alike, are gathered at this one of the most successful book fairs attracting more than 850,000 visitors worldwide. The yearly event organized by the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council (HKTDC) runs from 19 to 25 July 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The 33rd-year gathering, titled “Reading the World: The Joy of Reading for Children and Youth,” aims to promote fun and learning about the world through reading.
The Event’s Highlight
Apart from the traditional sales and distribution of books, the event prepares week-long diversified cultural activities ideal for the whole family. Here are the highlights of this year’s book fair activities:
Workshops and Seminars
Renowned authors and artists impart their knowledge in the technicalities of creating a book, Chinese poetry, and its influence on Classical English poetry and other informative topics related to world literature.
Exhibition of Youth-focused works of Arts and Literature
Many books from different publication companies gather and participate with their newly released books. Other books, including exhibitors’ favorites, children’s, general, and spirituality books, are available on display.
World of Snacks
Different exhibitors and food suppliers bring together and showcase their food products and tasty treats. From sweets and chocolates to travel delights and even oldie snacks are within reach while in the book fair.
